Electrical Safety | Power points & double adapters
Piggy-backing and overloading power points and double adapters is DANGEROUS!
Some older homes may not have an adequate amount of power points for modern living. Older offices may have the same problem, along with switchboards that are not adequate to run the amount of electronic office equipment required nowadays. Also, being older, some may be faulty and in need of urgent replacement.
We can upgrade single power points to double as well as add USB points. For offices, we can install a new switchboard or upgrade the existing if it will meet safety regulations.
Whilst we are at your premises, we can also check that all existing power points are safe and complying.
WARNING: Do not try to upgrade or install power points and switchboards yourself - it can very easily lead to you being electrocuted! ALWAYS engage the services of an electrical contractor to carry out this work.
VIDEO | Safety Switches
Even if your home has a safety switch installed, one may not be enough to protect you from electric shock. A safety switch only protects you if it's on that circuit. You should consider having safety switches installed on all circuits in your home, including power points, lights, air conditioning, oven, hot water and pool equipment circuits, even if they are on a separate tariff.

VIDEO | Smoke Alarms
Most Queensland homes still have traditional ionisation smoke alarms that need to smell smoke before they alert you.
Link photoelectric smoke alarms can see smoke and alert everyone when it's still just a smoulder.
